Well, I like the idea. Except that instead of a replica, i.e., another "1909" coin, how about a 2009 one cent coin, with wheat ear reverse, and the VDB initials?

In my opinion, no. I would prefer a change in design or centennial commemorative versions like the nickels, but not another replica. There have been too many replicas in the hobby market, and yes, including a 1909SVDB cent.

I think this a mute question, for the mint will not do it. They will come out with a special coin, but it will look different than todays Lincoln cent.
