Since our shadow doesn't MAKE the Sun shine, yet the Sun shining makes our shadow, doesn't this PROVE that Light always was? It speaks for itself, NO?

Turn on a lightbulb.

Electrons in an excited state pass through a tungsten filament, transitioning to a lower energy state as they move through.

In order to make this energy transition to a lower state, the extra energy has to go somewhere, and so it is given off from the electron in the form of a photon, or light, thereby producing the light that comes from the bulb.

So if you think of it this way, arent the 'dark' electrons producing light?

Doesnt this prove dark came first? :)

(i'm simply trying to stimulate thought, not that thats really my position)

A shadow is the comparable absence of light. Without light, then by definition it is shadow everywhere.

I think you should ponder a little bit more before asking such a question, this one was somewhat off the wall, and rather jumping to conclusion. The element of time ("always") just appeared out of nowhere, without logical connection.

Darkness is a word we use for a lack of light. It has no energy, existence or physical characteristics that can be measured.

no, because in order to have light there must be darkness first.
