That would of been T.E. Lawrence better known as 'Lawrence of Arabia.' After the war he wrote a book very well worth reading called the "Seven Pillars of Wisdom," based on his experience in World War 1.

I think that should be amended to "Wrote that he united the Bedouins in the Arab peninsula".
Lawrence was a good deal of a fraud. Really he just brought the Arabs the British gold.
