It could be some bacteria i.e. yeast - I agree with the first answer to try an exterior yeast cream. In addition, in the aisle with the feminine products you will find feminine wash. I would suggest you try to use that as well. Your skin is very sensitive in that area and may be drying out from your soap (particularly deodorant or anti-bacterial soaps) - it could be as simple as dryness. Wear cotton underpants - NOT nylon with cotton crotch - that is the worst because it traps in moisture which can breed bacteria and yeast. Use only unscented toilet paper. Do not use feminine deodorants and avoid douching. Reports are showing that douching is actually unhealthy - it clears away your healthy bacteria and organisms along with whatever you might find to be unpleasant. The function of your period every month is to clean away anything unpleasant - any odors that remain can be a warning that things aren't healthy. If all of this doesn't help, you have no choice but to see a doctor. It could be a skin problem, vaginal problem or STD.

You can check your symptoms here:

If you have an yeast infections you can try something over the counter (a cream). Self-diagnosis of a yeast infection may not be as obvious as one would think. Only 28 percent of women with recurrent yeast infections had candidiasis. Eleven percent actually had a bacterial infection and that requires a different treatment. You may need antibiotic.
You need to take better care for yourself!

it is probably just a little dry skin. i would recommend using an over the counter ointment called hydocortisone 1% ointment and apply it 2 to 3 times a day to the affected area.
i used to have the same problem as you some years back and my doctor suggested the HC 1% ointment. it worked just like magic!!!!
i wish you the best of luck!!!!!

First of all get tested for any kind of ST D'S or viruses. On the other hand it may be a yest infection. My best advice is to go see a doctor. This may or may not be a serious problem.

happens to me sometimes. i believe it's yeast that causes that. try the yeast infection cream, NOT the insert stuff, just the topical cream for a few days. works for me.
you can buy it separately from the yeast infection kit..
