Correct the following volumes of gases for the temperature changes indicated.
5.18L at 76 degress C to 6 degress C

Charles law V2= V1xT2 divided by T1

Volume is liters and Temp in K
V1=5.18
T1= 76 degrees C
T2= 6 degrees C

And 994mL at 27 degrees C to 744 degrees K

convert units by adding 273 to deg in C to get deg in K: example 76degC=349K; convert mL to L: 994mL=0.994L; then use the formula you mentioned. Good luck!

I'm not sure what you are missing here. Just add 273 to convert from C to K. Plug into the equation you wrote and solve for V2.

1...T1 x V2 = T2 x V1
349 x V2 = 279 x 5.18
V2 = (279 x 5.18) ÷ 349
V2 = 4.14L

2...T1 X V2 = T2 x V1
300 x V2 = 744 x 994
V2 = (744 x 994) ÷ 300
V2 = 2.465kL
