Look at old farts like me. Actually alot of movies will give you what you are looking for. Movies like " The blackboard Jungle, The Wild Ones, any of the three James Dean movies would all do for 1950's. For early 1960's you could watch Lords of Flatbush,Hollywood Knights, American Graffiti.

Plus the internet will get you a whole bunch also. For the mid 60's , just about any of the beach movies would do with Frankie Avalon and later idols. The song are best by going the internet route. Type in, " Hits of Rock and Roll from 1955 to 1968. Should cover most of the music I like anyhow.
