Euthanasia is not an economic problem, it's a social problem. We call it murder.

Economy wise, euthanasia is good. It saves resources from being used on keeping a person alive for few more months. Since that person is not enjoying themselves, and not doing any productive work, letting them go actually increases the social surplus. I.e. that hospital bed can be used to save a life of able-bodied person, and insurance money can be invested. Obviously, economics isn't everything, and decision should be driven by personal freedom and ethical issues.
