about 20 weeks with both of mine, that is usually the earliest you can tell.

I have 4 children. We did not find out ahead of time what sex they were, we found out when they were born (what a concept!). The first 3, finding out early was rare as ultrasounds were only done if there was a serious problem and having an amnio was only for the most serious of suspected problems. With our 4th (surprise!) baby, I had 12 ultrasounds due to conceiving when I had been on birth control pills for 11 years, my age and having Gestational Diabetes. My husband and I choose to find out the sex at the birth despite the many opportunities to find out early.

Told he was a little boy at my 20 week scan & confirmed at my 31 week 4d scan! Cant wait not long now.

21 weeks at my 1st ultrasond. He just spread his legs and stayed there for a good ten seconds :) I can't wait to show him the picture when he's 16, lol
