they don't need too much of anything to get hired just put in an application. if they need someone and you are available to work the needed shift, the job is yours.

Did you ever think that you may not be clear in ordering? If you have that many problems, perhaps the problem may be you.
Yes, many of the employees at McDonald's (and many other places) are low paid, have little or no experience in the work force and many times its their first job. Most of them, if raised properly, try hard and do not like to make mistakes. However, some of them don't give a rat’s *** about anything.
So many people expect so much out of 'quick service' employees, and they all think the job is so easy. Yet these people always think that 'quick service' employees are 'incompetent' and 'tend not to be the brightest crayons in the box'. But you want perfection out of these 'incompetent' and 'tend not to be the brightest crayons in the box' people 100% of the time.
I would love to see all of the people that complain about the service at McDonald's and other 'quick service' places try working in one for a week. Let's see how well you do. Let's see how many mistakes you make or how 'incompetent' you are at this so called simple job.
The next time you are in line at McDonald's during a busy lunch or dinner rush. Just watch how hard most of the employees are working, watch how fast most of them are moving. Then think that most of the part timers are in school, with homework to do, teams to be part of, friends and family to visit, etc., etc. Then they come to work for a few hours trying to save some money to buy a CD, go to the movies, save for college, etc. They do all of this for minimum wage plus what ever raises they have earned.
Most people who have never worked in the 'quick service' industry have no clue how hard this 'simple' job is. Most of these people could not do it. So think how hard these people are working in order to get you your meal. Give them a break and show them some respect by being clear in what you want, don't scream or say your order so quickly that they can not enter your order on the cash register. Ask them to repeat your order back to you so you both know the order is correct.

Contact a lawyer or paralegal and see if you can beat the ticket in court. If you can, go for it; if not, pay the fine and be glad you were not facing criminal charges. I don't agree with hitting or hurting employees. But I also think customers are entitled to good service. The young kids working on those jobs are learning to deal with the public, including the frustrated public - I want to see some experience along these lines when I hire people for more senior work.

I usually go in rather than through a drive thru cause they gotta look at you while they make it.Usually I order a "special" order, minus something or extra something, it's a pain but it's gonna be fresh. Have them repeat the order back to you after they take it to double check. Check it before you leave the premises and if need be, ask to see a manager, I mean if they get it wrong once again.
It's not that they are not bright, it's because McDonald's is a "starting point" for many and nowadays people don't have a good work ethic. There is no pride in your work and I find that sad.

Because the management in that particular restaurant probably doesn't train the employees by the McD's standards and we are the ones that have to pay the price. Plus, fast food restauarants are so focussed on Speed of Service that their main concern is getting the food out to the customer, rather be concerned about product quality. But, even if customers are unhappy with their meal, they continue to return and return again because they are addicted to the food.

because Mcdonnalds employees are extreamly underpaid punchingbags for ******** who dont get any benifits, work on holidays for regular pay. are often very understaffed and are running around like chickens trying to get people their food. Are very good at multitasking and work much harder then one who does nothing all day but sit at a desk, go on the computer and get paid for being lazy. not too many orders actually get screwed up. it just seems very funny that the few that do have to call and yell this happens every time. I remember one lady, I couldnt understand how her order was getting messed up every day until I heard her order. she ordered her sandwich and said extra all????? I think sometimes its the customers falt that communication lacks.

They pick the most hopeless one because they are the ones they can push around the most gullable. Just think of this would you pick an intelligent person who would wake up to you and then give you a mouth full? Think of it.
It was just like that young girl not long ago on the news who went for an interview and was asked to take off all her clothes.
Now sorry to say this but that's a bit dumb.
That's why you get bad service. As soon as they take your order and turn around to get your food, they simply forget what cash register they were in neither alone remember you and the food you ordered.

I agree with you. Mc Donalds is the worse at this. However you get this same problem at most fast food chains. Why? Because you don't need an education to work at one of them. They know you need money, pay minimun wages and hire anyone who wants to work. They really don't care if the employees get the order wrong because most people will just accept it as a mistake and not make an issue of it. However I'm not one of those people. If I ask for a burger with mustard and mayo, and only get mustard it upsets me. I feel like I should get what I asked for. Right or wrong?

I dont know. maybe the training isnt done as well as at other places, maybe you notice it more at McDonalds because you go there more often, or maybe its just because theyre working in some fast food restaurant for minimum wadge. are you really expecting alot from these people.

Same here, but it's more like 90% of the time.
And yes, McDonalds seems to be the most inefficient of all the fast food outlets.
I always ask for no ice in my drink (so that I actually get some liquid in the cup), but it rarely happens without having to hand it back and repeating my order. I even had one dumb cow argue with me about what I had ordered, even though it was printed on the receipt and NOT what I received!
