It depends on where the ball was when it touched the glove. If it touched the glove over foul territory, it was a foul ball. If it touched the glove over fair territory, it was a fair ball.
The position of the player has absolutely, positively no bearing whatsoever on the call.

It does not matter if the player is in foul territory, fair territory, or the bleachers! The position of the player has no bearing on a fair/foul call.
The ruling is based on the position of the ball!
In the above example, if the glove (and touch) was over foul ground before the base, it would be a foul ball, and become dead. No runners can advance, or be put out.
If the glove (and touch) was over fair territory, then dropped, it is a fair ball, play goes on!

Yep, it's a foul ball.
MLB Rule 2.00, definition of "Foul Ball":
A FOUL BALL is a batted ball that settles on foul territory between home and first base, or between home and third base, or that bounds past first or third base on or over foul territory, or that first falls on foul territory beyond first or third base, or that, while on or over foul territory, touches the person of an umpire or player, or any object foreign to the natural ground.
A foul fly shall be judged according to the relative position of the ball and the foul line, including the foul pole, and not as to whether the infielder is on foul or fair territory at the time he touches the ball.

well it must go pass the infield in some way to be considered a potential hit in foul territory pending a deflection. If it starts foul then it will be a foul ball regardless if its dropped and lands in fair territory . If a line drive down the line is deflected by a fielders glove and lands fair its a fair ball.

It is a foul ball. Just the opposite if the player is in fair ground and he drops it in foul territory.

No its a foul ball. as soon as the ball hits someone in foul territory, it is ruled a foul ball, no matter where it lands. Its the same thing as a batter hitting his own foot and the ball rolling fair, it is still considered a foul ball.

A ball is determined foul or fair by the following rule:
A batted ball is fair if :
1. lands in fair territory beyond first or third base
2. bounds past first or third base
3. settles in fair territory before first or third base
4. is touched by anyone while over fair territory
Without knowing where the ball was when it was touched by the fielder, I cannot tell you whether it was foul or fair.
