I would spend time with a lawyer who could write up a legal document that would form a non-profit trust that would use the money to fund college educations for students based on their need.
Give me a week, and I'd set up a foundation structured to help single moms -- I have it all outlined in my head, all I need is the 10 mil!

Give half to some of my favorite charities like
* feed the children
* natural conservatory
with the rest of the money I will have it set up in appropriate trusts to avoid unnecessary probate. The monies in trust will be distributed to my family members and close friends to help provide for them and their future.

Not worry about how to spend it, make a list of people quick to have it when I die. Then I want to get right on with the day seeing everyone and saying goodbyes and having a blast!

give 2 million to my mom, 2 million to each of my(3) kids,500,000 each to my 2 best friends, and give someone poor (probably a single mother) 500,000. The remaining 500,000 I would spend at an amusement park handing it out while i stand in line to ride all the rides one last time.

hook my friends up
donate to charities
leave a will to use the rest to open up women abuse shelters, orphanage, and other shelters

I would pay off any debts that I had and then I would divide it up among my family and friends. Since there is no way I can use it all I might as well give it to the people I love to use it.

I would do the same things I do now. Tell my family how much I love them and how much they mean to me. Spend time with my family doing the things we all like to do only with $10,0000 I could spend alot more money then usual.
