I'm all for women baking delicious treats and eating a snack that is pleasing to their tastebuds, but in the interest of protecting women, men need to set limits so they will not get diabetes or gain a lot of weight. What is a reasonable limit?

the question should read "How many sugary treats should a man allow his g/f or wife to eat per week before HE needs to say 'no more'?

Okay, I never said I ask questions to be controversial or funny.

a reasonable limit is to limit himself from saying anything to his wife before she punches him

I think it depends on the women sweetheart and what state of health she is in already.
If the woman is way too thin then I think she should be allowed a few extra treats but if the woman could stand to lose a few pounds than maybe there should be stricter limit.
On average maybe 3 times a week would be acceptable (as long as she works out every once in a while to stay healthy)
Also, many men have different views on this issue so ultimately it should be up to them.
By the way, I think it is very sweet of you to offer treats but I'm kind of busy cleaning the house and cooking dinner, if you would like to have them yourself I would be happy just to know you are enjoying them!
XOXO

You have an inquiring mind so I will give you an honest answer for the sake of your question. Let us say that I was eating a piece of cake, my husband told me that I had enough I would put the part I hadn't eaten down and spit the rest in the trash. The limit would not matter, even if I only ate a half slice, he told me enough, enough is enough. BTW my answer is not controversial either and nor am I being funny.

Then how many sugary treats should a woman limit her b/f or husband to before she says "no more"?

The door swings both ways--men gain weight and get diabetes too.

I think if you pick the proper wife or girlfriend you should not have to worry about it. A good woman that really wants to take care of you will not not give you to many sugary treats, nor will she overindulge herself with them. If you feel a need to set limits, perhaps you have not picked the right one.

At least in the U.S., men do not set the rules for women
(or the other way around).

He might point out that the eating was becoming a health
hazard - and maybe if he was shallow enough, he might
even leave her, but he cannot act parentally here.

It is not his right to say.

How many questions should a wife allow her husband to ask before she points out he cant write? Isnt that embarrassing to put a question out there and when you go look its wrong? I think thats more embarrassing than your question hon. If youre going to be so rude, dont give us such easy ammo, you take all the fun out of it that way. Now go buy your wife some flowers and candy.

First of all, men do not need to protect women. We are not helpless, you know. I hate when men think that they have to protect women. We can do whatever we want. And we can protect ourselves. Although all you men think you are better and stronger than women, you really are not.

We can eat whatever we want, whenever we want, and how much as we want.

There is no reasonable limit. That's why people have free will.

I think women should have to protect men from their lack of intelligence.

Well, Sandstorm, I fail to see how it would be possible for me to have the time to indulge in such luxuries, given that I have plenty of chores to occupy myself with.

I am off now to scrub the fireplace and iron the cloth napkins
