I have started to write a screenplay for a movie. Here is the base outline to follow: All things man-made suddenly vanish. All that is left is air , water , grass , stone ... basically, Earth itself, and, the animals, insects, etc. And, Us! Thoughts? Ideas?

You're cold... what do you do? - There are no clothes and it might be winter.

You're hungry...what do you do? - There is no food.

You're sick...what do you do? - There are no medications.

You have become "prey" / "food" to the carnivorous creatures of the world...what do you do? - There is no shelter. There are no guns/bow & arrows/ etc.

hmmm... interesting...

I think it would depend on what direction you'd want to go with this, but I find the premise reminding me a bit of a Lord of the Flies scenario.

I could see where if something like that were to happen, you may end up with a division of ideals in the human race. I could see where one group of people may literally try to "re-invent the wheel," etc. and try to get civilization back on track as soon as possible. However I could also see another group may revel in the anarchy to such an extent that you'd see more tribal, and maybe even more feral behavior emerge. I think that would make for an interesting story. If we lost all of the tools that made our civilization civilized, would we fight to get it back? Or would we, as a species, simply revert back to our more animalistic instincts?... and if we were indeed divided, which side would win out?

I hope this helps. Good luck with your screenplay. ^_^

"Where Have All The Good Times Gone?"...LOL!

There is only ONE Man-made artifact left. It is a couch that is hidden somewhere in Post-Consumerism California. The hero of the story and those he meet along the way are on a journey from the green lands of middle America to California on a quest to locate the couch. They must find this couch in order to save the balance of the planet that is now dependent on man-made gasses, fumes and smoke. What's the significance of the couch you ask? Everyone knows that when you lose something, you'll find it 'down in the couch'! So all the stuff is hiding in this couch :-) I'm thinking Arnold will come back to movies for this!

well, being that wild animals have learned to shy as far away from human civilization as possible anyway, humans would just begin again; basically, without danger, start to mine for metals and render elements into compounds, etc. the only thing they'd have to worry about would be the "zoo" areas, where all the animals in the zoo would have been suddenly unconstrained and free to hunt.
