My pet hummingbird puts the signs on my lawn. The city council has hired her for this spring to put signs on public green spaces.

I always assumed they used one of those Life Flight helicopters (the kind that go to horrible accidents on the highway). I guess they would have to lower a guy close enough to the ground without touching it, and then he would stick the sign in. Either that or they build a temporary bridge over the lawn.

They're at the edge. You don't have to step on the grass in order to put them there.

There is a little sign fairy that goes around putting them where they should be. She also puts the wet paint signs on wet paint.

hovercraft? lol, maybe a long portable bridge? or a firetruck ladder? or maybe they plant the grass after they put up the sign!
