of course , most people believe their country, culture and religion are best. but might is right, so since the US has the biggest mighteist military with more military bases than there are countries in the world, then the US is best! until someone else has the ability to defeat us militarliy, we wil remain best.

It is true that the US currency is not the highest currency in the world... US economy still remain stronger than others but also effected by a lot of other country... for example, gas price going up because we are relying on other country to supply us... although the world is still mainly trading with US currency... high or low currency doesn't mean that the country is good or bad... is mainly cause by the inflation.
Of course everyone said they are the best country in the world... how can you define good or bad?
Some people said that US is the wealthiest country because people die from diabetes... but if you think about it... is not because of wealth but because of convinience and people get use to it and get more lazy...
A study show that China is going towards that direction now because there are Wal-mart and fast food everywhere in China... so people in China didn't cycling as much as before and they drive cars and eat fast food...
So the best country in the world is.... depends what's more important to you... wealth, health, security, shelter, etc. You can move to a country that have 0 crime too, and that can be the best country in the world to you...

Well, First of all, that question cant be answerd because, there is no criteria for what is the best, Being the best at certain things is possible, but everyone may think that there own country is best. North Korea tells its citizens that their country is the best because they need control. This may be the same with all countries. America is good at a lot of things, we have a great market, and a good democratic system(if only it worked)
USA has big issues as well, we are in debt of 9 trillion dollars, and our curency is less and less now. We arent the richest, or the most intelligent, but we have a lot of patrism, and a LOT of power. The best military in the world, and we are great at pioneering technology. Our cars arent that great, but our ability to get imports are.
Like i said, its all a matter of opinion, and what the criteria is, but its totaly up to you in what to think and belive

Although many people are sneaking into the bor-
ders as someone mentioned , there are a lot of
Americans that are living abroad because America
is not what it used to be. As an american living
abroad I am much happier as I have been given
benefits now that I am retired more so in this
country that the U.S. ever will give their retirees,
also it is more peaceful here than in america.
Having fought and defended america for 22yrs of
my life while in the military, and now that I am out
The United States government could care less of
me and other veterans, as promises were made
to us and now broken, so as a retired person here
I get discounts on my light bill, 25percent, plane
fare, 30percent. restaurant, 15percent, water bill
20percent, medications 20 percent, do not have
to pay property tax, and there are many more that
have not been mentioned, so with that said you
decide if America is the best country in the world.

Currency has no foundation on being the greatest. There are many great countries, the US being one of them. I don't think that you can really determine the best country... many are so diverse, with great cultures and people. I'm from the US, but I live in Japan now, and it's one of the most wonderful countries I've ever been in. And no, the US DOESN'T tell every other country that we are the best. I would love to know where you got that information? Or is that just your oppinion?

After getting up at dawn to commemorate Anzac Day yesterday and to see all the young and old Aussies swell with pride on this most important day of the year I think I will stick with Australia. You are quite welcome to what you say is the best country in the world(we know better) let me tell you a countries worth is not in its monetary value or military strength it is in its everyday people they are the ones that make a country great .

The US just has more bullshi_ting braggarts than most countries. That's why the government went to all that trouble to make Patrick D. Tillman a hero. I'm not saying he wasn't a brave man, he did lose his life serving his country, but that is not the definition of a hero. He was also idolizes by his football fans, but that doesn't make him a hero. Any country that tries to falsely create heroes should not be thought of as best.

Whether it's the best or not is based on individual opinions (i happen to think it is). The reason I think Americans and those immigrating here believe the same is because of the freedoms this country affords you (religion, free speech etc) and the opportunities that are available. If you educate yourself and work hard you don't have to limit what you can accomplish financially, philosophically or personally.

Every nationality thinks their country is the best in the world. Nothing wrong with that (except that there are too many Americans who think that America just flat out sucks). Is America REALLY the best country in the world? I suggest you ask a Latino immigrant living the U.S. what he thinks.

Because we are building big time deficits, the value of the dollar is falling daily, which is great for the money I have invested in Euros. On the comedy channel last week the performer noted that the great majority of the people who will insist that ours is the best country, have never been to another country.

Yes The united states is the best country in the world. Why else would we have so many immigrants. It is also the easiest country to sneak into which will lead to its demise one day.
