An unhappy confused sexually frustrated woman a threat to Rosie? You shouldn't blog your personal diary eliciting sympathy and exposing yourself, Amy!
I may not care for Rosie's personality but why do mention her as a threat to you? Certainly not you to her!
Are you really socially and politically adept enough to deal with adult subjects, Amy? You're raising four kids and you're thinking like one.
Why do you even mention religion in CAPS? Isn't religion a personal belief and is discussed in the appropriate forums here?
You may well love people, Amy. Pray for clarity of mind and please think before you hit 'submit'.

Here's what I think: A CHRISTIAN person is not a *threat* to my lifestyle, but any PERSON -- regardless of their religious affiliation -- with a pushy, intolerant agenda of any kind is an *affront* to my lifestyle, which is all about personal freedom. That also goes for pushy people who call me on the phone at home, insisting that I should buy their cellphone plan or home mortgage. If I say "no", that means I have considered their point of view, and I am not interested in that product, whatever it may be. And if that person persists in trying to convince me of something in which I am not interested, then their agenda is an affront to my lifestyle.
There are two wonderful and essential attributes of living in a constitutional democracy (such as the United States of America and some other countries) that are of fundamental importance: freedom of religion, and freedom of speech. You can be a Christian person, I can be an Atheistic person, or a Jewish person, or a Wiccan person, or follow any number of belief systems, and we can both live here free from persecution -- and we can both debate and express critical thoughts about these subjects free from retaliation or persecution.
It is all about personal choice and freedom. Your choice may not be my choice, but that's OK so long as we both accept that each one of us is free to make those choices, and hold our own individual points of view. It is only when one person takes a moral imperative stance based upon their beliefs and/or opinions, and insists that others should or must believe as that one person believes, that the threat to another's lifestyle becomes an issue.
An extreme example of this can be observed today in Iraq, where people of the same religious faith -- Islam -- cannot agree to disagree within the different Islamic sects. Sunni, Shia, Wahabbi, and others; each claiming to be the right and only Islamic way, each claiming to have an infallible scripture to prove it, and each intolerant of the other ways. And each willing to kill those who believe differently than them.
I believe in tolerance, regardless of one's religious or non-religious beliefs. We should tolerate one another as brother and sister, or perish together as fools.

There is good and bad in all walks of life...please dont listen to celebrities....they dont have it all together out there in Hollywood. Never let people that are famous intimidate you.
Furthermore, being a Christian (a true christian) is not a threat to anyone...we arent taught to judge people, because we are sinners as well. Remember...let he who is perfect cast the first stone....and call me crazy, but Rosie is far from perfect....as am I you and everyone else on this earth.

Ok, I don't believe that anyone is a threat to my lifestyle unless they say so. I don't lump people into groups. But on the other hand it does seem like the group of people trying to run our lives lately has been people of faith. But there are people who have faith who are wonderful people who truly follow the word of the Lord. Then there are people that preach to everyone how Christian they are but they treat others like crap. I personally believe that the people threatening my lifestyle are the people in the latter group. Be who you are and don't let others make you feel bad about it.

Hi, Amy. Isn't that the strangest phenomenon? Being a TRUE Christian is totally non-violent and loving, yet others feel threatened... let's join together and pray for Rosie - what do you think? God loves her just as much as He loves you and me.. I am praying God sends angels her way with His message in an unmistakeable gesture of love... :-)

i think that everyone is entitled to their own beliefs. the only thing is that christians try to get everyone to become christian. i went to church on christmas and the preacher said that my buddhist beliefs were wrong. he said "karma cant exist, 'cause jesus died for your sins." now, what right does anyone have to say something like that? that would be like me saying "jesus couldnt have had magic powers because science says its impossible." i just feel that christians are all about numbers. i mean, do you ever see a jew selling god on t.v.? nope, only the christians. don't misunderstand me, i have nothing against christians so long as they are not close minded.

The only way I would see you as a threat is if you want to convert me and refuse to take no as an answer.

I am christian, but I actually like Rosie, I think she's hilarious. But of course, I have never actually heard her say she is against Christians. Could you cite where you got this information? I know she doesn't like "Gay Bashers" because she is gay... but since not all Christians hate gays, I'd like to know where you got this idea.

rosie is anti christian because she is gay. she thinks christians don't approve of her because that is what she was taught. God loves everyone, she is paranoid. i myself don't care if she is a lesbian or not, she can still be a believer and sin, we all do.
