I think it should be legalized and regulated, but your rationale is flawed.
Just because something is better than something else doesn't make it good and desirable.

there is no comparrison between mj and crack, cigs and prescription drugs. the FDA is a joke, they work for big pharm. there are hundreds of legal drugs that are 10x worst than any side effects that mj may cause some.
Harvard Medical School just completed a 30 year study on MJ. they found that it is not a carcinogenic as was expected.
in regards to it being referred to as a gateway drug, that is bogus. I grew up in Chester County PA and back in the 70's and 80's mj was the number one cash crop there so probably 50% of the people I grew up with smoked. I know just as many people that went on to try other drugs as those that just stuck with mj.
although I wish it would happen but it will never be legalized, the bible beaters have too much power in this country. too many people fear what they don't understand.

Well, is smoking a plant better than prescription drugs? yes.
lets see, they both affect your brain, harmful when overdosing,
actually, an overdose of the drug will kill you- smoking may or may not.,hmm, it's another good question, other than the "buzz" being to intense i suppose, i can't really think of another factor that would keep authorities from legalising it,
i would put a sticker that says "do not operate machinery while using or else you go to jail, use only after 10:30 pm,
do not use around your kids or in public- Mr. big guns upstairs is watching, your on your own bucko" people are doing it anyway, it's like saying to your daughter - if you know what your doing and you feel you want to sleep with your boyfriend, at least do it in your house so i know that your safe, because your probably going to do it anyway. so when you have the freedom to choose, naturally you wont feel an urge to max out the opportunity , and you might end up knowing yourself what is good or bad for you. no pressure.

Yes Marijuana is a healthier and safer alternative to any other illegal drug and it should be legalized, the only complications with this substance is careless people who don't realized it could be laced with addictive and harmful drugs, also the Government would never allow it to become legal because they are the sole provider of the substance and consequently make all the money from it

Well my opinion is that marijuana is much better than crack and most hard drugs that people use. I suppose in a way it's better than smoking cigarettes..
I would agree that it should be legalized, but not because it's a "healthier" drug to use. I think that way to much of officers time is used up tracking and charging people that sell and use marijuana, when it could be better off spend elsewhere.

H*@l yeah!! I personally thinks so because marijuana is all natural, it's not chemically processed, it hasn't been made from household chemicals, it's not mixed with a bunch of other God knows what stuff. I think it's a good alternative just because scientists are testing it and is reporting that they do help with some illnesses and disease so yeah. I honestly think they should of legalized it a long time ago but they probably won't do it for a number of bs reasons.

I say yes to making it legal. The reason is it is natural and it is a much better alternative to some prescription meds. It helps with pain and also appitite. Cancer and AIDS are two problems that it will be benifiary in. I also do belive that it has to be regulated. Any substance can be abused that includes caffine and asprin. There are more pros then cons.

YES YES YES!
Of all the drugs out there marijuana is by far one of the safest and should really be reexamined. Alcohol kills the liver and such Crack kills the brain and very obviously I might add. I can go on and on but marijuana should not be considered and treated as a drug when there are far worse things out there that are perfectly legal.

NO!!!! It has more carcinogens than cigarettes. It leaves people impaired for up to 24 hours and they do not realize it. There was study released this week addressing the link between marijuana use and psychosis.

Well its obviously more healthy than crack, though i dont think healthy is the best word.
Its probably the least dangerous drug there is.
In fact mountain dew is worse for you than a marijuana cigarette.
I don't think much will change if it was legalized, half the world already smokes it.

yes i think that is should be legalized for reasons i don't have time to get into.. but there hasn't been any reports on t.v about a guy that got so high and hit someone and killed them and himself.. i haven't yet heard someone say i smoked weed all my life and got lung cancer.. the government should legalize it, you know how much they'd make and then how much food purchases would go up.. they'd make alot.. and it's not that bad for you, well besides getting a little lazy and wanting to eat, oh well i guess then the world be really obese, not that it isn't already, but anyways i'm sure there are more positives then negatives..
