Also how much dna does a medusa get from the polyp hydroid colony in asexual reproduction?

1. The polyp is made from the joining of two gametes: one from the female and one from the male. So the polyp gets 1/2 of its DNA from the male.

2. The medusa gets all, 100%, of its DNA from the polyp because the polyp just forms the medusa asexually by budding.
