Time will tell for sure but last year he played extremely well at times and other times he looked like the rookie he was. Seeing how he developes and learns this year will tell a lot.

Let me preface this by saying that I have been a Broncos fan for more 18 years. Ask me a question, and I will most likely be able to answer it as I am 34, meaning by best friend converted me to being a Broncos fan when I was about 8. That's pre-Elway for those of you who are keeping track.

It was a GREAT pick. If for no other reason, it is because it got rid of a very average QB. After Elway, there was simply NO ONE able to pick up where he left off. San Francisco had Young on the bench when Montana left. Denver had no one. They had Kubiak, drafted as a "just in case", sat on the bench in the #2 spot, retired, became QB coach, with Elway still there, and that was that. They had no one ready to move into where Elway left them off.

Brian Griese gets drafted. It's never good to try to be the man after The Man, and he found out the very, very hard way. I don't know how good a QB Griese is because he was placed in an impossible situation that he may have had the physical skills to overcome, but being a rookie and being forced to live up to Elway is a no win situation.

Then comes Plummer. At best an average QB in Arizona, for some reason Pat Bolwen thinks he's the savior of the Broncos. He came in average, and he left average. And let's face facts. To be an average NFL QB is NOT a bad thing at all. You, me, Billy next door, Sammy down the block, Jimmy across town, we would kill 4 heads of state to be an average NFL QB. Personally, I would be willing to kill 6, but I don't want to speak for the group. Change was needed, but Plummer stopped the bleeding. Early play-off loses was better than not making the play-offs.

Cutler came in highly touted. He has shown something early. I would like to remind you that for the first few years, John Elway didn't play like John Elway. We are yet to see what Cutler can do. He shows promise, something I never thought Griese ever really showed.

I think what could really turn it around is Pat Bowlen remembering what won the 2 Superbowls for them. A SINGLE strong RB, an outstanding TE, a solid WR, and an excellent blocking WR. Unfortunately, I don't see Denver with anything in those spots. No Davis, no Sharpe, no Smith, no McCaffery. I am VERY dissappointed with Denver's actions on the TE spot after Sharpe.

It's deeper than just the QB. It's the Big Picture I am looking at. Cutler is a good Big Picture pick at worst.

I think that Jay Cutler is going to make a big impact on the NFL this year. He started off kind of slow but he was looking alot better towards the end of the season. He has alot of talented recievers to throw to and talented backs in the backfield. He is going to turn some heads this year and give the bronco's another playoff apperance.

I think Cutler was a good pick. You have to remember that he only played a few games last year and he had to try to come back from Plummers misakes. I think he will be one of the best QB this year. I think everybody will get to see his potential. Not to mention, he will be playing the whole season instead of the last few games. This time around he actually will be practing with the players that he will be playing with in the games and not just on the practice squad like last year.

Time will tell if Jay Cuter is the main man at QB now. Personally I hope he has an excellent first season as the starting QB, with out any major injuries....Heard someone say that his Jays arm is alot stronger then what Elways was. Go Broncos and show who is the best team this year.

Cutler was a good pick for the Broncos and he should be the face of the team for many years.

He looked good enough in the games to constitute a yes.

This guy has a great arm and and can thread the needle 40-60 yards out.

Awareness must go up to constitute a "Great" Pick.

He got very little pt and he wasn't to sure of himself but with him being the starter look for the Broncos to be a big threat n the playoffs
