I THINK THE TRUE FIGURES ARE DEFINITELY SKEWED. Both by the Iraqi government and our own. But could we expect any less from corrupt government officials, including the leader of our own country.

This administration is willing to skew the casualty figures of our own troops, by not including seriously injured and amputee soldiers within the casualty statistics, even though by definition amputees and seriously impaired soldiers are supposed to be counted as casualties. So, if they are willing to lie about something so serious, I wouldn’t put it past them to coerce their puppet government in Iraq to also fib the true number of deaths and seriously injured in Iraq.
This administration lied to us about its reasoning for going to war, for its reasons for maintain this occupation, so it isn’t a big stretch for them to include their proxy government in Iraq in their mendacity. Deception is almost a sacred pillar for this administration.
I regret saying this, but I think much of the American public is so apathetic with respect to foreign affairs, and many U.S. citizens are so seduced by America’s supposed moral superiority over foreigners, that most will ignore any statistic coming out of Iraq no matter how staggering or truthful.
Here, I think is where the fundamental problem of this country can be found. We can harp on all day about the depravity of this administration, but their nefarious deeds in truth are being condoned by a public that doesn’t either care, or believes blindly that America is right in any action that it chooses to exercise because of the mere fact that America is doing it.

No they are not. And how can you call the Iraqi Government a "puppet regime" when in 3 elections a larger percentage of their people voted than we get in the US. Liberals are a far sorrier lot, they refuse to see the facts.

An independant firm has put the death toll at About 175,000 or so, with a significant percentage of those being caused by Muslim Terrorists. YOU get your facts straight, and have a nice day.

When a questions begins with "is it true" it usually isn't. It is a feeble attempt to make a weak point
