Fascism is given such a bad rap because of people like Hitler (who wasnt even a fascist), i wondering why, is it ignorance or just "why my teacher said it was bad so it must be bad" .Fascism has great ideals and if handled correctly then it would be a good government ie: Elightened Fascism (my own Creation). No fascism bashing, just answer the question. If you have a question about my Elightened Fascism, post it and i will answer, i dont what this to be a forum though.

There are numerous debates among scholars and other individuals regarding the nature of fascism and the kinds of political movements and governments that may accurately be called fascist. For example, the extent to which German Nazism may be considered a form of fascism is debated. Most scholars see fascism as on the political right or allied with right-wing movements. In addition, some scholars see fascism as the radicalization of the center or as a populist revolt of the middle classes. Fascist movements sometimes claim they represent a "Third Way between left and right, between Marxian socialism and capitalism."

Fascism has been defunct in the Western world as a major political ideology since the defeat of the Axis powers in World War II. There is considerable stigma attached to the name and to the concept, and it is not uncommon for people to label their political opponents (or authority figures in general) pejoratively as "fascists". However, a small number of openly fascist political groups continue to exist, such as the Italian Fiamma Tricolore.

Nazis were not fascists in theory though they certainly shared many characteristics.

Fascists take power visibly and in reality from the people and put it in the hands of the government and favored industries. This goes against the grain of western democracy, where at least in theory the people have some control over their government.

I think Fascism may look good on paper, but it is bad in reality much like communism. And, yes, the only fascism most of us know is Hitler lead and that was horrendous. I'd rather not take chance.
