I cannot understand why, because Lara had done his very best to see that W.I can be successful. Lara is my best bats man and no matter what he will always be my best bats man. Now he resign from playing cricket now! tell me your point of view of Brian Charles Lara please

Brian Charles Lara is always blamed whenever W.I looses because he is the most experienced player in the whole team and also the captain.

I think a lot of people expected a lot more from Lara as far as leadership is concern. No doubt that he is one of the greatest batsmam the West Indies have ever seen. When it comes on to batting you can put Lara up there with the likes of Gary Sobers, George Headley and Vivian Richards. The difference with Lara is that he lacked the great leadership ability. But that is not his fault. To become a great leader you will have to get support from everyone and Lara was not getting that support that he needed and because of that whenever the West Indies lose its all on Lara.

In morden circket He could easily be rated the best batsman,Lara has played the knocks which are rated in wisden,cricket lovers cannot belive that windes have lost under the magician,The fail to understand the GREAT Bats man is a genius not a magician who can always perform miracles. Laras retirment is huge loss to all circket lovers.
Diffrences with the board is the reason for him to quit or he was good to contnuie for atleast a couple of years at the top.

Lara is a very best player but the unfortunate one that he could not get the team he deserved............A single man can not take his team to the victory alone , this is understood ......... he is the best but his team was not upto the mark......and that was the actualy problem.......And blaming him for that, so he is a leader and captain is always blamed for his team performance.

It is the normal tendency to blame the Captain and Coach if any team fares badly and it is not only isolated to West Indies
cricket.
