How do you spot a metalhead in a crowd of people? And how do you knows it's a metalhead, and not a person who likes the color black or a poser wearing a Pantera shirt?

These days it's become increasingly difficult to spot a real metalhead. The same goes for a punk etc. You can not do it through dress-code any more for the reasons you mentioned. The only real way left is to actually talk to him/her and find out.

look and see what kind of shoes their wearing. If their wearing big ol black combat boots, their a metalhead! if they have on converse, their punk. :)

Quiz them to see what they know, and if they only know one song or say their favorite by that artist and it is really popular, then just walk away cause they are like everyone else...

One: They are epic. You need not talk to them, you will simply know this.
Two: They are not wearing a Pantera shirt, because they are not epic and therefor suck.
Three: They know the true meaning of the word Crusade
Four: Dragonforce is part of their lifestyle.
Five: If they have a pentagram, pentangle, or any sign of 666 anywhere tattooed on them, ignore them. If they are truely epic, these signs will flash in your mind upon seeing them.
Six: They, like HammerFall

These are not the only criterion. Find more for yourself, but always remember number 1.
