Boil up some potatoes and dice them up into cubes. Shake some taco seasoning over them and rub it into the cubes. Deep fry them for about 2 1/2 minutes. Melt some velveta nacho cheese and put it on top and add sour cream and green onion on top.
Or, you can buy those frozen potato bites instead of boiling up your own potatoes.

I've never had them myself, but we make "Taco Taters" all the time at home. I just get some frozen fries, any shape, and shake them in a bag of taco seasoning mix then bake how long they are supposed to be if they are plain. Yummy!

Oh, yeah, if you're talking about the cheesy fiesta potatoes, i'm with you on that one, they are excellent. I tried making them at home, but they won't be as nearly as good or as cheap as the taco bell potatoes, sorry, i tried to help.

Well, they taste good because they are deepfried. You can do it at home with Tater Tots and a deep fryer. However, we don't have a fryer, so I make them in the oven with a light drizzle of canola oil over them.
