In response to my babysitting flyer, he called. The first thing he asked was how old I was. He said he needed me to do an "all night" job. Told me he had three kids, and that I could meet them in his home. When I asked to meet him and his kids in public, he acted weird and said he couldn't "pack them all up" and he'd look for someone else.
There was some other weird stuff but I'll leave it at that for now.
He said his name was Andre Kerman, or Carmen.
I called the police but they said they couldn't even warrant an investigation.
I find it very disturbing. What can I do?
I have thought of partnering up with some other people, and have some trained person go in there pretending to be me and see what happens to her, with us waiting nearby in case something happened... I know this sounds crazy, but if it were true wouldn't it be worth it to prevent a real victim?

Find out if there is a neighborhood watch group in your area, they might know the guy, and if need be, they can do the scoping out of the potential predator.

there is a possibility he isn't a bad guy also for the the police to waste time investigating something that may be nothing more than a overly suspicious person on nothing more than what u said is ridiculous just leave the guy alone if u had more proof of something wrong then take it to police. but i would just leave it alone cause if he is a bad guy u could wind up hurt or worse

Descretly talk to others you know the individual. you cannot second guess this kind of thing for you will wind up in court. Ask yourself why you suspect such a thing.what evidence do you have/ A gut feeling wont suffice. Do nothing to antagonize the person. if your feelings continue seek the advice of a qualified professional. donalore-43

If you are suspecting someone try & get a background check on this guy....If not don't take the job. If you are paranoid listen to your instincts & stay away from this guy. No job is worth dying for. Don't call back either he may trace your phone number.

Well it is a hassle to pack up three kids. If he is a single father he may have to work all day then feed his kids at night. Take an adult with you and check out the kids.

besides how would you feel if in a few months you hear on the news he killed someone and you could have stopped it all with one little awkward phone call?

Keep yourself safe, but remember that there may be kids involved! It's not their fault their father's a sketcho, and I just feel bad for them! Go with a (strong) adult, and find out what's up! But remember to stay safe! :) Trust your intuition...
