Um no. Women are human beings not real estate.

With an attitude like yours, you're going to have a hard time finding a woman, because I don't think any woman (even the ones who believe their husbands should be in control of them) wants to be considered someone's "property".

The word property sounds a little unfeeling. I do believe that once a woman is married that her husband is in control. I believe the husband should make all the important decisions, and the wife should respect them.

In a way I do think I'm my husbands "property" - but not in the same way as a thing. I belong to him. Marriage is a covenant and a wife does belong to her husband. The husband belongs to the wife in a way too. I also think that in a marriage all yours is his and vice verse - so in that sense I guess it's true to say that I and my things are my husbands property... Not sure he'd want all of my things thought!

Though this may have been the way of things in earlier civilizations, today women have claimed their rights as human beings.

A woman is no one's property but her own. A woman's property is her property.

Marriage is a declaration of love - not servitude.

No,a woman is never property of anybody. Now by law, legaly her stuff, like her furniture and appliances that she bought before they got married is now his too,as well as his stuff. And if ya'll get divorce then ya'll have to split everything down the middle by law unless you can prove it was your's before yall were married.

Marriage is a 50/50 proposition and there is not a person as property in that equation. Human property is another name for slavery.

Sorry, but I'm not from the Dark Ages.

Women are not property.

I will not even give up my name when I marry, because I think it is a part of my identity, and I want to preserve that in a marriage.

Yes sweetheart When a woman gets married her ownership is transferred from the father to the new husband. All of her possessions are naturally her husband's also.

I became His property long before He took me as his wife. All I am and all I have is his.

No. Actually the Bible says that a man will leave his mother and father and cleave to his wife...the two becoming one which means that everything he has is now mine and vice versa.
