I find this strange because I have another computer that I bought just recently that came with a widescreen monitor but the image does not stretch out.

Do you just mean the image on your desktop looks stretched out or everything does? If it's just the image on your desktop, it's likely not the same resolution as your monitor (1680 x 1050). If it's everything that looks stretched, you need to change your resolution to 1680 x 1050 by right-clicking your desktop, clicking Properties and changing it on the Settings tab.

What you want to do is set your computer's resolution to the native resolution of the monitor, in this case 1680 by 1054.

Bring up the display properties, click on the settings tab and there is a slider bar to adjust the resolution. You might need to pick 1680 by 1050, which is a more normal resolution.

If 1680 by 105x is not in the list then you may need to update the drivers for the video adapter. You do not really need the drivers for the monitor, Windows will default to Plug-n-Play and that should work fine.

Setting a 1680 by 105x desktop will give you the clearest image filling the screen with circles looking circular rather than stretched into ellipses.

It probably doesn't have the right monitor driver installed. This "driver" will let your computer use widescreen resolutions, such as 1440x900. If the monitor came with a CD, see if it has an option to install a monitor driver.

If you already did that, try right clicking on the desktop, choose properties, go to settings, and adjust the screen resolution slider until the image looks right.

a large reveal run at a unique determination then does a typical reveal screen. I going to guess that you're going to favor to run at 1440 X 900. proper click the computer and decide "houses". click the "Settings" tab and use the slider to %. the determination that you reveal screen calls for. If the most excellent determination does no longer seem, attempt loading the software that got here with you reveal screen.
