I am about to turn 16 and I am going to have a party at home with 14 of my friends (all 15 or 16) So what activities can we do or what games can we play that will be suitable for 16 year olds? My parents are going to be home. And my theme for decorations is pink! So what kinds of decorations can I do that will make my house look beautiful and filled with pink? Thanks!

This site has some great ideas for your 16th birthday. It has suggestions for games, food , invitations and decorations. When you get to the site, bring up the list of all their party ideas. They have a separate section for the 16th birthday. I just remembered a second site that may also be of some help.

For decorations pink, purple and white balloons grouped together in 3 or 5 to a bunch, pink streamers or curling ribbon hanging from the ceiling and laying on the party table. Carnations are inexpensive you can add some babys' breath and some curling ribbon for some nice arrangements.
If the party is all girls you can have a scrabooking party. Buy inexpensive diary type photo albums and have everyone bring pictures they can share with the group.
Or have a makeup session, buy inexpensive makeup in wild colors and shades that you normally don't wear and see what looks can be produced. Take tons of photos!
If the party is mixed boys and girls try a scavenger hunt.

You could have shades of pink and silver... light pink plates, cups and napkins, bright pink tableclothes, silver sparkle on the tables, and light pink streamers. Pink chirstmas lights strung in various places. Shades of pink balloons floating around the ceiling and a disco ball with a pink tinted light and a white light shining onto it so that everything shines...

As for things to do, you can never go wrong with karaoke. Play some of your favorite music in the background (this would be fun to make a mix CD for.)

good luck, have fun and happy sweet 16

Get some pink and white balloons and blow them up, gather about 4 pink ones with one white one to used for the middle and tie them together, this will give you a flower effect. Just hang on walls.

If all your guests are girls... maybe your theme could be a pink beauty spa. Mom can "hire" someone to come over and have "professional make-overs". Have everyone bring a formal dress (or borrow one from mom, sister, etc)

You don't really have to hire anyone .... you can have your aunts / mom's friends do it. Have mini-facials, manicures, make-up and hair done. Just for fun! Have a small buffet set up readily stocked up with pizza, munchies, soda, etc. For drinks you can get a bit creative and maybe serve shirley temples (use 7up and drop cherries to give them Pink coloring). Have everyone bring a formal dress -- and jewelry -- go over board!!!!

After everyone is made up get into your fancy outfits and go crazy with your digitals!! Then you can make your own website and have all your friends post their fotos there!!!

This can represent the transition from childhood to adulthood.

~Have fun!

Have some boys over and play the classics "Spin the Bottle", "Dare or Double Dare" (since no ones lame enough to choose truth), and "7 minutes in heaven" . I don't have any advice on decorations.

well on my sisters 16th bday, (not the party) we got her a palm tree and a bunch of flowers and pink and green streamers, she said she wanted a lot of flowers when she woke up, so we got them, and i said we should get a (little) palm tree so she'd be really surprised, it turned out really cool with all the plants and the pink and green streamers...and for activities, you can just have a bunch of stuff outside, for mine im thinking about just having up a volleyball net up, we have a pool and a basketball court and swings too, so theres plenty to do, and just have a bunch of food and music!

have one of those parties where all the kids come over with meds they have stolen from their parents houses...put it all into a large bowl, and then pass it around as you all get a small handful and down it with a glass of water...

by then the party might just have a direction of its own...yippy!
