1, without dispute, Bull Durham. If you don't know why this is the best baseball movie ever, you don't really understand baseball.

2. The Natural

3. Major League -- funniest BB movie ever.

4. The Sandlot

5. A League Of Their Own

Other pretty good films: 61*, The Bad News Bears (original), The Life And Times Of Hank Greenberg (great documentary), Fever Pitch, and I'm sure I'm forgetting some others.

1) Major League, 2) The Sandlot, 3) (I hate to admit) Bull Durham, 4) The Natural, 5) The Lou Gehrig Story

As you can see I prefer the light hearted movies when it comes to sports.

My favorite is Bull Durham. How many people 'know their cliches' because of this movie? "Gotta take it one game at a time", "just trying to help the team", etc. The list of things Crash believes, the lollygagger speech, the meetings on the mound... all great scenes.

Also in my top five are the Natural, Field of Dreams, A League of Their Own and a little known short film from Saturday Night Live called "Rabbit and the King". Billy Crystal and Christopher Guest play former ***** League stars.
