I'd like to know if there is any shrubbery around the front door...because I prefer a little landscaping around the front door. But in general - yes I'd enter whether the door was red or not since I'm not real big into back doors. And going in and out of the upstairs window is just part of the preparation for going into the front door as far as I'm concerned.
