Why did those miserable bastard lose AGAIN?? They have embarrased me dammit!! This is not so much a question just a rant but feel free to add your voice to it.
I am just sick and freaking tired of SA, they play like an amateur team of little girls, do well for a while, but always choke when it matters. I really never did like Australia (still don't) but I now like SA far less. Should they just disband the team and pick up the most eager players in the schools and provinces and raise a new fresh team?

ok hey , kevin s. ONLY 16 years!!! that is not an excuse anymore , jeez that first team was probably the best and pretty much nobody cared or knew about cricket at that time, in fact that was what got me hooked that game where SA lost due to the 'rain rule' . but all this time, with all this interest and money invested in the sport, being ranked no.1 until just the other day and then scoring only 149 ??!! What the hell? They suck and there's no denying it the guy above you is actually right , their attitude is crap, but as I stated above they choke when it matters. There is no excuse SA has all the talent and interest, and this d class performance is pretty messed up!

Compared to other teams in the world cup (e.g. Ireland - all out 92 or something like that), they at least gave Australia a contest in at least one of the matches they played (a run chase of 350 or something). I dont think the SA team has had enough time to prove thier potential. I go for Australia, and I think, the best game so far was in the group match when Australia played them. They are a good team. They just need to put their head in the game. They just need a few wins to gain confidence and then for the Aussies it will be hell.

There is nothing wrong with the South African Team. But the problem is their attitude and approach to the game. When you play a team like Australia, you have to be very careful about your shot selection. Having opted to bat first, the batsmen should have measured the pace and bounce of the pitch and the bowling before start attacking the bowling. See the way Smith and Kallis got out. There was no need for Smith to step down and try to hit the ball hard in the 3rd over. He should have first settled down before attacking the bowling. I will mainly blame Smith and Kallis for the miserable loss of South Africa.

Wow, shows how little you people know about the politics of South African sports...
There is a qwota system that FORCES teams of all levels to have a certain number of "previously disadvantaged" people in any national/provincial team.
So even if you are a great player doesn't mean that you will ever make a team. Very disruptive for players who wants to be there on their own merrit and disruptive for players who are good but too white oeps I mean previously advantaged.
You will find that lots of South Africans are rather playing county cricket to ensure equal (on merrit) opportunity!
Lets hope they can sort this mess out, and play the game.

there has always been a problem when we play with the Aussies.Yesterday SAwent into that field having already told themselves they were going to lose. The lack of fighting spirit and fear is what's keeping SA from performing at their very best. Even Ponting commented on the fear that they could sense coming from the S Africans it's just uncanny the way we just lose control on the hands of the Aussies.
And anyway the Proteas have a reputation of blowing hot and cold you never know with them. It just takes getting used to.

I am also very much disappointed with their performance.......though i was sure that Australia would make it but i was expecting a good fight from SA, but they just gave up in the begining telling Austrlia" please proceed to the final, we are not interested"........sometimes luck do not favour them but yesterday , it was totally their own fault............i though they would do very good in batting.but yes might not be that impressive in bowling as lacking a good spinner...but they just collapsed in batting and there was not much left behind.....i didn't feel sorry for my team when it was knocked out in first round, but i am realy sad for South Afirca , its pathetic that a team did make thrice for semis but could not qualify for the final even once.......even England did manage to make to the final twice !! Whats the problem with you SouthAfircans ??????? A very hopless performance ! no doubt !

yes they deserve it. first things first, they think theyre too good. smith needs to loose weight and the F***ing racist selectors need to put more players of colour in the team. Indians and Blacks play better cricket than the whites in the team.
International audiences need to kniw why the "boer" choke. Its cos they suck. They cant beat the unstoppable australians.
SA cricket is full of corruption. In a country of black majority theres only one black player.
dont tell me that ppl of colour arent good at cricket. They are.
Im an indian who knows that if a multicultural team was selected it would do better.
What happend to asheem amla, and logan naidoo?
the racist selectors are the problem.
sport in the south african nation is dismal.
the racist whites say violence is the problem in hoting 2010 soccer. the rugby and cricket were hosted, but wehn a black mans sport is involved, its "violent".
There are so many good indian cricketers that can represent south africa....

dude incase u have a short memory i would just like to remind you that they were kicked out from the 1st round last time
and they made it to the semi finals this time and
not to mention how can u call them losers when they only have 16 yrs of international cricket experience
they became one of the top teams and eventually no 1
if u want to call losers, i would suggest call pakistan, india and england losers cuz they have the most awful team u can ever assemble
