My hair has grown in and my mom says now is the time the start getting rid of some of it for my bikini line or somthing like that. All that I know she wants me to get rid of it. She told me shaving it can cause it to be very itchy, but she's never tried waxing it. I think the idea of waxing it would be slightly uncomfortable also.

I shave, but that's because I cannot STAND the thought of having it yanked out by the roots.

Oh, and keeping your pubic are clean (shaven or not shaven) is a PERSONAL hygiene issue. You do it because YOU PERSONALLY want to do it...not because someone tells you to. So your mother (in my humble opinion) should keep her ... uhhh ... nose ... out of your private area!

I gotta wonder how old - or young your are and why mom thinks you should stay looking like an adolescent. It is your bush - you decide if you want it trimmed up - which you need to do before waxing to make it less painful. If you decide to groom the area - waxing is the way to go to avoid razor burn, but you get ingrown hairs. Try shaving first and see how you like it. When it grows back a little it will be easier to wax. (Nair has a nice wax that cleans up with water - a plus!)

I tried the cream first and the regrown phase was itchy. Then I tried wet shave and the same problem. Now I use a electric Razor and I find this suits me. No way I would use wax, I am a chicken. To cheer you up, I was unsure of this bikini line, expected to see it, took me over one hour to realize it was my Bikini, not a line drawn on me! So the logic took over, put the Bikini on and used the cream on the exposed areas. Low and behold it melted the elastic in the Bikini and hair that I thought I had not creamed also vanished. I learn the hard way!

I shave for the most part, just be sure to shave downwards because,if you don't, when it starts to grow back you get really itchy. Waxing is better because it takes longer for the hairs to grow back...but it hurts like hell!

waxing is so much better...it grows back slower, and finer over time. and you dont get that prickly stubble once it grows back in!!
