Out of those two choices I'd have to pick U2 ...but I like Chris DeBurgh's "Don't Pay The Ferryman" better than both of the choices you have there. Of course that was a little older than Lady In Red.

Best of 1987-Any song off of Guns N Roses-Appetite for Destruction. But if I had to pick between those two, then U2.

With or without you - U2
I haven't like anything after Spanish Train from Chris de Burgh, but the greatness of Spanish Train makes me forgive him.

That's tough! Lady in Red is one of my all time cheesy favorites, but U2 is a much better band.
I wore red to Homecoming in 1994. One of the Freshman had a crush on me and requested "Lady in Red." I felt bad for the poor guy because I was dancing with my date and not him, after he went to the trouble. I didn't want my date to feel jealous, though.

My favorite song of 1987 was Don't dream it's over - Crowed House. I like both of those songs but would go with U2. Good music question you should ask another one like it on another year.

Man, that's tough.
I'll have to go with Lady In Red,
because my all time favorite U2
song is : "Still Haven't Found What
I'm Looking For."
