Have to agree with you.
Isn't it funny that people tell you to get a better job, and stop depending on the government to provide for you?
The fact is, is that many, many Americans do live from paycheck to paycheck, and it is nothing to laugh at.

you need to take a bassic economics class, someone else's wealth is increased through profits of there products or services, it does not mean that those not recieving the profits are getting poorer?! And not all rich people gain all the time, many suffer severe losses, thats why buisness is always in such flux, when your new product fails, you lose big time, and as in life, most suffer far more failures than achievments. also rich isn't a goal of many people, it sems to bring on all kinds of social and financial head aches that I for one am content with not having. I take little risk if I mess up at work, where and employer may be sued, or lose business (profits) through ineptness not of there own doing often. Most big businesses are there to sustain profits over the long run, and they know good employees are investments and do pay well, and just as many don't. maybe you need a new job, or start a business of your own, but then you'll be accused of being rich, whenever you make a profit, and don't hand it over to taxes or your employees, so whats a person to do, right?!

This has been the case for most administrations.

This is an old problem and one that won't go away with the change of a political party.

Industry sets the pace for pay and job quality. That is why so many jobs have left the US for other countries that have lower standards of living. China and India are the current leaders in the cheap labor mass market.

While Bush profits from the contributions of such companies, he is not the only one. Just watch and see.

Until you change your mindset, you will never change your finances. That is why most big lottery or other windfall recipients are broke in a short time span.

Your mindset is not the type that can handle money. Look and listen to some resources other than you are used to if you want the truth! You can live paycheck to paycheck and still profit!

I live from paycheck to paycheck. I'm still a capitalist. Adapt or die. I'm struggling to make it, too, but nobody is getting rich on my labor without my consent. I CHOOSE to work for employers who make more money than I do. You can only blame yourself if your boss is getting richer and you're getting poorer. Do something about it! Stop blaming everyone else for your own deficiencies. Economics isn't zero-sum - when a person gets rich, they're not taking something away from you. Wealth is created, not simply mixed up and redistributed.

Right now, corporations are doing well, while American workers aren't doing so well. The reason is straightforward, though the mechanisms are complex: globalization. The workforce is increasingly globalizing, so corporations are able to 'arbitrage' the labor market - buying labor where it's cheapest, and selling its output where it's most expensive. They can hire MBAs in America, tech support in India and line workers in China, and sell the product around the world - bad for line workers & service reps in the USA or Japan, great for the corp, and a mixed blessing for its customers (cheaper product, less dependable service).

This sort of thing has been going on for decades. Manufacturing jobs flee the US for Japan, Hong Kong, Korea, etc... then they flee those countries for China, while white-collar jobs start leaving the US for India. Workers have no choice but to adapt, either by becoming absurdly more mobile, or by changing careers. But, consumers do reap some benefit form it, as well as corporations.

The alternative to a globalizing economy is for each nation-state to hunker down behind defensive tarrifs and simply stagnate.

Quit whining. Get over it and grow up. This is America and ANYONE who really wants to and is willing to invest in themself and sweat equity can succeed.

The rich ALWAYS get richer. Bravo!!! They don't owe you jack squat, Sparky! You think they should just turn it over to the wannabees? You want communism or socialism.....head to Cuba, Russia or China.

This is the US of A! Millions fight to get here to chase after the dream...and you are already here for goodness sake. Get off your butt and get going and go after creating it for yourself.

Today's economy isn't your father's economy in the 50s and 60s. To succeed today you have to get an education and learn something of real value. Unions have RUINED job opportunities for the non college educated. No more steel mills, no more manufacturing. Auto industry in shambles; ditto the airline industries.

What is thriving in America is technology. Healthcare is growing. Financial organizations.
Think KNOWLEDGE based industries.

Face the facts, then make your choices accordingly.

But that means getting a hair cut, shaving, and going to work every day. Sometimes for 10 hours+.

But then again, you can always flip burgers at McDonalds. At least you won't go hungry.

Look again, the rich are getting richer by making enormous contributions to all candidates. The rich are getting richer by ignoring our laws against illegal immigration. The rich are getting richer because they make wise investments. The rich are getting richer because they have initiative and are entrepeneurs. The rich get richer by claiming lots of write-off's on their income tax. The rich get richer because they play politics that the people that can help them. The rich get richer because they do not trust anything politicians say unless it is backed by something that will favor them. The rich get richer by taking advantage of the average hardworking, honest American just trying to make a living while paying taxes for all those who will not help themselves.

Not really.... *EVERYBODY* is getting richer. The standard of living of even the so called poor is much better than just a few decades ago and orders of magnitude better than the rest of the world. The mantra of the left "take from the rich and give to the state" helps no. It does, however, equalize everyone.... under leftist leadership everyone is equally miserable.

Why should I hire someone? To make less money? Of course, I hire someone to make more money. I'm not running a charity. It's called business. And then as I expand and make more money, I can hire more people. If they don't think it's enough money, then get a different job. And BTW, as I was building my business, I worked harder than what I demand of my employees and brought home less money than what I pay, so I could expand and hire. Don't see a problem with that. Now I reap the rewards.
