What urban legend really had you fooled/believing in it before you found out it was a hoax?

The coincidences with Lincoln and Kennedy had me going for awhile. Most are superficial coincidences, untruths and downright lies. Thanks to snopes.com, however, i woke up to the truth.....

Pictures of the space shuttle explosion by an Isralli satilite. Then I saw the movie Armagedon and it was clips from the begining of the movie. And afterwards on snopes.com
they mentioned that. I think 75% of forwarded e-mail are Urban Legends

I think it was the idea of Tony Blair in opposition who seemed to be a good guy. I didn't vote for him due to my inbuilt distrust of Labour, but I never would have believed about quite how untrustworthy he turned out to be.
