If you are talking about the new planet that is "Earth-like," it is 20.5 light years away and would take 800,000 years to travel to in the shuttle.
If there is a planet that is 2.5 light years away, it would take roughly 80,000 years for the shuttle to get there (or just about any craft that we have the technology to make).

The new planet is 20.5 light years, not 2.5.

Since we don't have anything capable of making that
distance, your answer is unknown.

it would take billions of years considering that light travels at 299 792 458 meters a second.

Depends on how fast you are moving, at light-speed, it would take 2.5 years.
