Tarzan had more estrogen than testosterone.. so he coudln't grow a beard or have body hair.

Because while they are shooting the movie, there is a gigantic trailer with Mario the famous barber, giving Tarzan the shave of his life. Maybe a little trim too.

...there's a rare plant found in the jungle that if dried and mixed with ginger root, prevents any hair growth on the body but promotes the growth of head hair.....that's why Tarzan also had long head hair....and no beard, leg hair, etc....
