it takesthe earth1.0years to travel around the sun. it takes venus0.615 years to orbit the sun. if the planets are in a straight line with the sun now,how long will it be before this is the case again? your answer must be accuracte to the nearest hundredth of a year ( assume that the orbital planes of all planets are the same)

What you need is the synodic period calculated from the two sidereal periods given. The source gives the formula. In this case it works out to 1.5974 years.
