Thinking of nice things right before bed doesn't always work so I asked myself whether there are any ways to influence my dreams. My friend told me to stop watching tv in bed, would that make any difference?

You might want to look up lucid dreaming. This is a form of dream control *after* you're dreaming. Think of something that almost always shows up in your dreams (it's okay if you can't, but it helps). Make yourself a trigger, something that you will recognize in a dream that will make you realize that it *is* a dream. Mine is a large body of water, if that gives you any ideas. When you go to sleep, remind yourself of this trigger. Tell yourself over and over, everything I will experience from this moment on is a dream. During the day, when you know for a fact you are awake, ask yourself "Am I dreaming?" anyway, because if you make it a habit, you will do this when you are dreaming as well. If you can make yourself aware that you are dreaming, you can control it, which means bad dreams can be altered.
You can find lots of information (don't trust all of it of course, use your judgment) by typing lucid dreaming into google.
Good luck!

Whatever you do before bed will suppress your dream. In other words, you won't dream about it. Dreams come from subconscious mind. As long as you have good day few hours before you sleep, you will have good dream.

Yes, watching TV in bed may result things differently, because subconsciously you are brought to a hypnosis stage.
That is why it is not suggested you watch too much tv

You should research what causes dreams. I think (but am barely 25% sure) that it's stuff your brain takes from memories or your day and kind of compresses into a weird video. Perhaps watching something calming or happy before bed or listening to classic music would help.

I believe that you can influence your dreams. When I was married a long time ago I found out that I had been screaming out every night with nightmares. I recalled them ocassionally, but more often didn't. One night I asked my then husband how often I screamed out during the night and he said every night. I asked for how long and he said for years.

The next time I met with my counselor I talked to him about it.
He suggested that every night I should in my mind tell myself that I can take care of my self, I can take care of my children. I don't need my husband to help me ( all the nightmares had the theme of me and kids in danger and the husband ignored us, very very much like real life) I can sleep in peace and not keep being in fear. It worked the first night. I was amazed..
Eventually I didn't have to tell myself that before I went to sleep. Ten years later I rarely have a X husband nightmare. If I do I just tell myself the next night that I don't have those dreams anymore because I can take care of myself and I can't let my X control my dreams anymore.

Give it a try and see what happens

2 human beings, my dad and mom : the two detrimental and useful... The detrimental area is they have some prejudices that i don't accept as true with and refuse to stay with what they suspect. The useful is they have been strict with me as a newborn and that i'm a extra suitable guy or woman by way of fact it. The third guy or woman would be my husband. he's a thoroughly useful impression. he's the style of stable guy or woman who there is not any way i could not earnings from his kindness. : )

You need to quit watching negative stuff before bedtime and before going to sleep, make a conscious effort to remember your dreams and make them positive.

That should help, but it also depends on what is going on in your life. Your dreams are manifested by issues in your life. We try to resolve things going on in out life through our dreams.
