Take the percentage number and put it over 100 and then simplify

A percentage is always part of 100. For example.
for example 20% is .2 and that is 2/100 which =1/50
55% is .55 wich is 55/100 wich is 11/20.
99% is .99 or 99/100
88% is .88 or 88/100 or 44/50 or 22/25

Ok, Let's say you have 25%. The base of every number is 100. Then you divide 25% by 100% and then you have 1/4. I got 1/4 because how many times can you put 25 into 100%. I hope it helps.

well say the number is 50. to make the easiest fraction it would be 50/100. Then you would simplify it as much as you could.
It would be a lot easier to explain if it wasnt over the computer...sorry.

extremely simple. just put the percent num over 100, then reduce.

ex: 72% = 72/100 = 17/25
40% = 40/100 = 2/5

think of a ruler until the idea sinks i.... 1/4"= 25% 1/2"=50% 3/4"=75% now, 1/8"=12.5% (12.5x8=100). just write all these in steps on paper and in order, and it will click in your mind
