I measure the best of the best, at their best and with that in mind and your list, here goes.

#1-Vladimir Guerrero - 2000
BA-345 OB%-410 SLG-664 OPS-1074 HR-44
Range Factor - 2.22 A-12 FLD%-969

#2-Ken Griffey - 1997
BA-304 OB%-382 SLG-646 OPS-1028 HR-56
Range Factor - 2.63 A-9 FLD%-985

#3-Pete Rose - 1969
BA-348 OB%432 SLG-512 OPS-944 HR-16
Range Factor - 2.12 A-10 FLD%-988

The difference between Guerrero & Griffey is a small one Rose is not in the same class with them.

I lean towards Guerrero because not only are his offensive numbers slightly better but also his RF for a rightfielder is very good, while Griffeys RF for a centerfielder is average.

Even if you want to go with career numbers, I would still go with Guerrero then Griffey then Rose a distant 3rd.

Guerrero - Career
BA-325 OB%-391 SLG-584 HR-343

Griffey - Career
BA-291 OB%-374 SLG-556 HR-564

Rose - Career
BA-303 OB%-375 SLG-409 HR-160

If Ken Griffey Jr could stay off the DL which is a yearly occurrence he could have been only half as good as Pete Rose!

Ken Griffey Jr is because he can actually play defense and offense. All that Vlad does is creme the ball when he gets up to bat, and i dont know who pete rose is.

Griffey. Pre injuries, Griffey was on his way to be one of the 5 greatest. Guerrero has a chance to be better but who knows if he will ever have a great hitter to hit next too.

I'm going to give it to Rose. Pete Rose could play as many as five positions in his prime, whereas the other two are purely outfielders. While Rose did not have Griffey's defensive skills in terms of catching fly balls, he did hustle- hence the nickname- into so many great plays.
