My Friend and I are trying to come up with a good lie. This is the scoop, we both work in a busy mortgage company. She is married to her husband who is temporarily stationed (Navy) in another state. Every other week she flies up to see him and she has taken some days off to see him and has left early several times from work to catch her flight. Well, she booked herself another ticket to see him next week! She is excited but she doesn't know whether to tell the managers the truth or not because they are already giving her a hard time since she is depended on so much. Plus, she plans to take time off in July to be with her husband because he is deploying. Should she lie and say something came up and she needs to leave or should she tell the truth? If you think she should lie.....WHAT WOULD BE A GOOD LIE TO GET OFF OF WORK EARLY? PLEASE HELP US COME UP WITH A GOOD IDEA!

Before you tell a lie, think long and hard about how you'll feel if you get caught in that lie. Hopefully, that will help you change your mind.
Suck it up and tell the truth. If she can't work full time, she needs to go part time or find a job that will allow her these frequent trips. When she takes additional time off, she's cheating her employer = stealing. Now, you want to compound that by lying? Neither is a good thing.

Truth is always the best. Honestly, no matter the excuse is, the employer will eventually get tired of her leaving all the time and she will lose her job. I"m sorry that her husband is not with her, but that does not give her an excuse to bail out on her job.
I lost my job a few years back because I was always having to leave early for doctor's visits due to a mental illness. My employer was sympathetic for awhile, but they quickly grew tired of it. They didn't care what my reasonings were for being late or leaving early....they needed me there and I couldn't be.

I wouldn't lie. Instead can she talk with her boss, and work out an arrangement to come in early / leave late a couple of days that week. That should help make up the hours that she needs to take off.

the two are common for me if i'm telling a lie that's because of fact i think that's the final factor to do in that subject i think no be apologetic approximately or guilt over it yet i might say i like to tell the fact greater generally then not I tell the fact approximately ninety 8% of the time I have been given not something to hide.

The managers can't be too stupid or they wouldn't be managers. (Well usually anyway! lol)
So they are likely to figure it out anyway, and she will lose respect.
IF she does a good job & does her best to make sure things are covered at work, then they shouldn't be too hard on her for it.
I am an employer & deal with stuff like this alot.
If the person does an exceptional job, you would be amazed what most employers will do for them!
Personally, I would rather get the truth.
Now the week off, may require some "creative thinking"... : )~

tell the truth. tell her (you)to have her man come down a few times. she can garentee her boss extra effort next week. maybe a new guy is better- but i know she loves him so for some people they would do anything for love but doesnt mean it cant be changed. but anyways. you are really asking for yourself look at the title- i lie- then to friend lie. whats the deal here- ur a big lier u dont need help.

This is what is wrong with this society.
This question should almost NEVER be asked. Only maybe if someone's life depended on you lying should you even think about the possibility of lying.
Lying is always bad. Period.
If I had an employee that lied, that would be the end of it. I do not trust anybody that tells even small lies because you never know if you can believe them if they say they're not lying.

I think it would be better if she told the truth. Her husband is in the military so this should be sufficient. Her company would have to be hard-hearted not to allow her to go as he will be going to put his life on the line.
