Does anyone think it interesting that Barbara Walters, she says, had nothing to do with Rosie O'Donnel leaving. Barbara is the executive produceer of the show. I find it curious that, as she says, she was in no way conneceted to the negotiations. What's your opinion??

I think she had a huge influence on Rosie leaving! Despite the fact that Rosie does have the right to say what she wants, she was making Barbara look real bad, and Barbara knew that.

Rosie works for ABC. Barbara is her boss. Of course Barbara knew about it.

I think she decided to leave on her own. According to what I read today. She wanted a one year contract but the network would only give her a three year contract.

I do not think that Barbara had her fired.

No, she just quit. The story I heard was that she just wanted a 1 year contract but the network wanted her to do a 3 year contract. Also some talk of her doing THE PRICE IS RIGHT...when Bob retires. She certainly doesn't need the money and wants to spend more time with her kids...so why work so much? :)

I think that Barbara told someone to tell someone to tell her;
"Lady.....You're fired!"
