Ducks are strictly prohibited in Uzbekistan. Any person in possesion of a pet duck or in possesion of duck for game will be processed as a criminal and will be put in jail for 10 years.
Only in the special day of Ravijaduckfunblawack are the men permitted to carry baby ducks (provided by the goverment) on the street. At night, they are cooked and served as a special dish of which only the males in the family can eat.

Don't know about ducks in general, but there were apparently 5146 white-headed ducks in Uzbekistan in January 2003.

Beki and Stan. They moved there permenantly after they had been separated from their migrating flock somewhere over Siberia.
They recommend the duck-weed as the best in the Northern Hemisphere !!!!!
