I am adopted and don't know if my original mother had any other children. If in a billion to one chance I met a girl and didn't know I was related to and got married and/ or had a kid what problems would arise and has this ever happened? For instance - would any marriage be not legal and what would happen to the kid. This is a HYPOTHETICAL case and I have never heard of this happening but what if it did?

Unless both of you had the same medical problem or carried the gene for one, your children will be just fine. Legally the courts would not continue to see you as married.
This has happened (it was on TV) none of the children from these unions had major health problems.

Strange but true. This sort of outcome has been reported. Thing is there is an attraction between siblings and like I say has happened. BUT the chances are a billion to one. Relax and just enjoy dating. Have you any knoledge on the biological side of things. If you want to write to me to talk about this at any time please do....I have experience in this area.

your marriage would not be legal, and any offspring from such a relationship could have problems if it really worries you there is a register where you can either look into who your biological mother is and arrange to meet, or even if she has been trying to locate you, you will have to get in touch with social services to start the ball rolling, as my sister did to locate her daughter, good luck. xx

i have 2 boys 1 mine 1 not and a 12 yo daughter far away i make shure they know about her...i would be a bad buzz if that happened..i hope you find out

yes you might have a deformend kid as your genetic footprint would be to close..
we have a problem with similar here in Scotland with people sleeping with relatives and having babies...
you only have to go to celtics football stadium and look at the crowd to see first hand the devistating effects it can have..
i have never seen so many strange looking people any where else in the world.

i hope this don't happen to you that is really weird of all people in this world meeting your sister? i don't know doesn't sound possible, if it did happen the kid would have men-tel issues health problems and probably die I HOPE THIS NEVER WILL HAPPEN TO ANYONE!!!

well it sounds like you got your answer to the question asked but it sounds like you really want to find your birth parents, did you just find out about this or is it something you've known about?There are ways to find out who your parents are I would ask questions about that.
