He is out for a meal and drink with some visiting people from work.
If I wait up he might be late and I won't be able to get up for work.
If I go to bed I will sleep then he will crash around, paw at me and once I am awake he will go to sleep and snore and stink of curry!

Steve B - it's a sad world if you can't let your other half out for the night without suspecting he has another woman!!!

Well I'm off to bed.
I'm not angry with him. I don't mind if he goes out and I certainly don't want to go out with a bunch of his crusty old work mates!!

LoL. Sounds just like my husband. He went out with friends a couple of weeks ago with out me (I was tired and chose not to go). I didn't care that it was 3am when he came home. What bothered me was he banged around the bedroom until he woke me then thought I wanted to talk until he finally fell asleep around 6am..grrrrr.

The best advice I can give you is to go to bed and get what sleep you can before he gets home. :)

Well if he loved you he should have invited you to go with him, so you could have a wonderful tiem too. But the best thing to do is go to bed and sleep because if you have to go to work you need to sleep. Even if you sleep for about 3 or 4 hours at least you won't feel too tied. SO get some sleep and don't wait up.

the problem is not your husband, its where to find the guts to say all the things churning inside each time he comes late.

my husband does the same, comes staggering back in the wee hours of the morning. i solved my problem (mostly!) by discussing rules when he was in his right mind:) kept it simple so he could remember- when u drink, no touching. to keep the point home i sometimes make him sleep in the guest room or i move out and sleep with my 8-year old. then the next day HE has to answer the question "Why did mum sleep in my bed?"

Go to bed and sleep.
But tomorrow, lay some ground rules down as to what will happen if this situation arises again.
Its unfair to disturb your sleep when you have work in the morning, so suggest if he intends having a night like this again, he sleeps in the spare room or comes in at am agreeable hour.
Night night

Why are you not going with him? Secondly get your sleep and yell at your hubby when he comes in and makes a bunch of noise to crash on the couch becuase your trying to get some sleep. Really if he want's to go out and not invite you to go along well that is pathetic work or not your man should want to take you oput and introduce you to work colleagues. Unless he is hiding the fact that they spent the night at a strip club getting lap dances?

I wouldnt have waited up, try and get into a deep sleep before he comes home all smelly and noisey. I think its nice that you still think about him that much to ask the question obviously still very much in love

Sounds like a no win situation.
If one of the kids are young enough, on these evenings they can be with mum and the man can bend his knees a bit in a smaller bed.

Go to bed and get a good sleep! Leave a note for him telling him you love him, and if he loves you not to wake you up stinking of curry, lol! Nighty night.

go to sleep in another room, and lock the door! Tell him just like you did all of us, the reason you are doing this , because he stinks and snores and you have to go to work!

Lock the damned door and get a good nights sleep. He'll be in the car in the morning.
