I'm thinking of getting a distortion pedal pretty soon, can you give me 1 or 2 more that you recommend?

There are a lot of effects you can use, mostly the music you play is what determines what pedals you need. I play heavy metal, and hard rock, so I use a distortion for that nice harsh sound, a delay for lead incase I mess up it covers it pretty well and a reverb for when I have to have a clean but ful sound. If you have the money, I recomend the digitech programable pedal center. You can customize the right sounds for what you're looking for, not to mention you can come up with some pretty amazing stuff you would never think you could use. Happy jamming.

There are some decent distortion pedals out there, but I'm still partial to amp distortion, but check out the Fulltone Distortion Pro if you really want a distortion pedal. I highly recommend having at least one delay. There are more expensive ones out there, but the Ibanez DE-7 is a great digital delay. I also like to have a chorus on my board. The Visual Sound H20 is a great chorus and a decent delay in one pedal. If your amp doesn't have a built in reverb, you should get a Holy Grail reverb. Those are all essentials in my book.

It depends on what type of distortion you're looking for. The Boss Metalzone MT2 is pretty rad. Boss and Digitech make really good pedals. A delay pedal is also a must.
