Futuristically Of course not in our lifetime--but im sure at one point in time people on horses couldn't imagine that we would have a cool thing like cars

Honestly, I don't think so. I think mankind will have killed itself off by then. If not, something cosmic will have killed us. We are nowhere near having the technology to send a probe that would get there within a few generations.

No but that won't keep aging first generation Trekkies from demanding that the government spend untold trillions of tax dollars to send a probe there.

All we know is that its gravity is twice that of earth ad nits temperature is like ours. It may have no atmosphere or it may be covered with sulfuric acid. Moving at space shuttle speed, we could get there in a mere 800,000 years

Well, on the fastest rocket available its a 780,000 year round trip. Not a weekend away.
