Well ,I'm 20 years old but I still don't like this, you are right.
This is called"short hand writing and teens tend to do that to feel unique and they "Psychologically" they always feel happy by finding adults or parents or others ask WH questions WHY WHAT.Why you do that ,What does it mean & so on. They are doing this to grapp our attention ,that they are there!!!
I'm afraid on the language it would be ruinde like that ,but as long as there are people supporting my opinion like you ,there still a hope....:)
You know ,some of them needs speech therapist .
I only find that some appreviations lik "u ,r ,...." are helpful in text messages where letters are limited up to specific number of letters.
Good luck.

L2 stop
haha a bunch of people talk like that
L2 Win
L2 Hit

EDIT-
Leet is the all-alpha translation of "l33t" (the "3" is represented as a backwards "E"), broken down as "l" and "33t," and thus "elite." "leet" doesn't exactly become "elite" until you know how it breaks down. It is an online culture or attitude sometimes identified by frequent use of leetspeak (l33t5p34k, 133t, 1337, or l33t).

I think if you type that in onto a display that uses crude alphanumeric characters, it spells something when viewed upside down. Like the 3 looks like a capital E and the 5 looks like a capital S and the 7 looks like a capital L.

I have never seen that particular phrase before.

It's a sign of severe mental degradation. And yes, it's very annoying.
