Does it go by whichever team has the most points at the end of the day, or by who wins the final game, i.e. either Australia or Sri Lanka?

The winner of the final between Australia and Sri Lanka is the winner of the World Cup. If it went on points we wouldn't need to play a final because Australia is way ahead on the points table.
